Welcome to Central Baldwin Middle School!  Great things await students this year!  We have an excellent faculty and staff that are ready to serve.  CBMS is a Model PLC @ Work School.  We Believe Education Assures Reaching Success!!! 

 

The Central Baldwin area is special to me as I grew up in Silverhill and graduated from Robertsdale High School.  I was blessed to earn an athletic scholarship for baseball at Faulkner University in Montgomery.  I eventually transferred to the University of South Alabama, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and my Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration.  I earned an Educational Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama.  I taught for five years at Gulf Shores Middle School; served one year as a BCBE Administrative Intern; served as an Assistant Principal at Foley Middle School; served seven years as Principal of Gulf Shores Middle School; and the last 11 years as Central Baldwin Middle School's Principal.  

 

I am married to Michelle Thompson.  I have a daughter, Joi and a son, John Carey, and one granddaughter, Everleigh Rose.  I love the outdoors, especially hunting and college football, War Eagle!!!  I love this community and attend Robertsdale Church of Christ.
